Both phones in this review have Android operating system, but Huawei Mate 40 Pro has older 10 version while Galaxy XCover 5 has Android 11. The Huawei Mate 40 Pro is a somewhat heavier cellphone than the Galaxy XCover 5, but both of them have the same thickness.
Huawei Mate 40 Pro has a little better hardware performance than Galaxy XCover 5, and although they both have a Octa-Core processing unit, the Huawei Mate 40 Pro also has a greater amount of RAM. The Huawei Mate 40 Pro counts with a brighter display than Samsung Galaxy XCover 5, because it has a bigger screen, a better pixel count in each display inch and a much higher 1334 x 2772 resolution.
The Huawei Mate 40 Pro features a little bit better memory capacity to install games and applications than Samsung Galaxy XCover 5, because although it has no slot for an SD memory card, it also counts with 192 GB more internal storage capacity.
