Sony Xperia XA2 Plus is slightly better than the Samsung Galaxy XCover 5, getting a score of 78.6 against 78.1. These phones use Android OS (operating system), but Sony Xperia XA2 Plus has a more recent 8.0 Oreo version while Samsung Galaxy XCover 5 has Android 11 version, so it provides lots of additional features. Although it's the best in this comparison review, the Sony Xperia XA2 Plus construction is older, just a little bit thicker and heavier than Samsung Galaxy XCover 5.
The Xperia XA2 Plus features a sharper screen than Galaxy XCover 5, because it has a higher amount of pixels per inch of display, a quite larger display and a lot better 1080 x 2160 pixels resolution. Samsung Galaxy XCover 5 features a greater memory for applications and games than Sony Xperia XA2 Plus, and although they both have exactly the same internal memory, the Samsung Galaxy XCover 5 also has a slot for SD memory cards that allows a maximum of 1 TB.
The Xperia XA2 Plus counts with a little bit better hardware performance than Galaxy XCover 5, and although they both have a Octa-Core processing unit, the Xperia XA2 Plus also has 2 GB more RAM memory. Sony Xperia XA2 Plus features a superior camera than Galaxy XCover 5, because although it has a smaller aperture which is not so good for shooting pictures or video in poorly lited situations, it also counts with a lot better 3840x2160 (4K) video quality and a back facing camera with a lot higher 23 mega pixels resolution.
Xperia XA2 Plus features improved battery life than Samsung Galaxy XCover 5, because it has a 19 percent greater battery capacity.
