Comparison review
The Galaxy XCover FieldPro is a bit better than Huawei Mate 9 Pro, having a score of 80.1 against 78.7. Although Galaxy XCover FieldPro is extremely newer than the Huawei Mate 9 Pro, it is way heavier and noticeably thicker. These phones have the same Android 8.0 Oreo OS (Operating System), so both of them should count with identical operating system features.
Galaxy XCover FieldPro has just a bit better screen than Huawei Mate 9 Pro, because although it has a bit smaller screen, and they both have an equal 1440 x 2560 resolution, the Galaxy XCover FieldPro also counts with a just a bit better number of pixels per screen inch. The Galaxy XCover FieldPro has a better storage capacity for games and applications than Huawei Mate 9 Pro, because although it has just 64 GB internal storage capacity, it also counts with a slot for SD memory cards that allows up to 512 GB.
The Samsung Galaxy XCover FieldPro has just a bit better hardware performance than Huawei Mate 9 Pro, although it has less RAM, they both have the same number of cores. The Huawei Mate 9 Pro takes better photos and videos than Galaxy XCover FieldPro, because although it has a tinier back-facing camera sensor taking lower quality videos and photographs and a much smaller aperture, and they both have a same resolution camera, the Huawei Mate 9 Pro also counts with a much better (4K) video definition.
Galaxy XCover FieldPro has just a little bit longer battery duration than Huawei Mate 9 Pro, because it has a 4500mAh battery capacity instead of 4000mAh.
Although Galaxy XCover FieldPro is a better device, it costs a lot more money than Huawei Mate 9 Pro, and it doesn't have such a good price and quality relation as Huawei Mate 9 Pro. If you prefer to save some dollars, you can get Huawei Mate 9 Pro, letting go a few features and specifications, but you will get the most out of your money.
