Both phones in this review use Android OS (operating system), but the Microsoft Surface Duo 2 has the previous 11 version and Samsung Galaxy XCover FieldPro has Android 8.0 Oreo version. The Microsoft Surface Duo 2 is a newer and noticeably thinner phone than the Samsung Galaxy XCover FieldPro, although it's also just a little bit heavier.
