The Samsung Galaxy XCover FieldPro is just a bit better than Galaxy Note 5, with a score of 80.1 against 79.3. Both devices in this review have Android OS, but the Samsung Galaxy XCover FieldPro has 8.0 Oreo version and Galaxy Note 5 has Android 5.1, giving you some extra features and performance tweaks. The Samsung Galaxy XCover FieldPro body is way newer, but notably heavier and notably thicker than Galaxy Note 5.

Samsung Galaxy Note 5 features just a bit better display than Samsung Galaxy XCover FieldPro, because although it has a bit inferior pixel number per inch in the display, and they both have the same exact resolution of 2560 x 1440 pixels, the Samsung Galaxy Note 5 also counts with a quite bigger screen.

Samsung Galaxy XCover FieldPro counts with a better processor than Galaxy Note 5, and although they both have 4 GB of RAM, the Samsung Galaxy XCover FieldPro also has a greater number of cores. Galaxy Note 5 counts with a greater camera than Samsung Galaxy XCover FieldPro, because although it has a way smaller camera aperture which is not recommended for taking photographs or video in low light situations and a tinier sensor which gives a lower photo and video quality, it also counts with a way more mega pixels camera and a lot higher 3840x2160 (4K) video resolution.

The Galaxy XCover FieldPro has a lot bigger storage capacity to store more games and applications than Samsung Galaxy Note 5, and although they both have equal internal storage, the Galaxy XCover FieldPro also has a SD memory slot that supports a maximum of 512 GB. Galaxy XCover FieldPro counts with a much better battery duration than Samsung Galaxy Note 5, because it has a 50% greater battery size.

Although Galaxy XCover FieldPro is a better device, it costs a lot more money than the Galaxy Note 5, and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as Galaxy Note 5. If you prefer to save some dollars, you can buy the Galaxy Note 5, giving up a few specs and features, but you'll get the most out of your budget.
