The Galaxy XCover FieldPro is a little bit better than Galaxy S7 edge, with a general score of 80.1 against 78.1. Although the Galaxy XCover FieldPro is noticeably newer than the Galaxy S7 edge, it is way thicker and heavier. Both of these devices come with the same Android 8.0 Oreo OS (operating system), so you shouldn't see any differences regarding operating system features.
The Galaxy XCover FieldPro counts with a little more vivid display than Galaxy S7 edge, because although it has a bit smaller screen, and they both have the same exact 1440 x 2560 resolution, the Galaxy XCover FieldPro also counts with a just a little better screen pixel density. Galaxy XCover FieldPro features a very superior storage capacity for apps and games than Galaxy S7 edge, because it has more internal memory capacity and a SD card slot that holds up to 512 GB.
The Samsung Galaxy XCover FieldPro counts with a little bit better performance than Samsung Galaxy S7 edge, and although they both have a 4 GB RAM memory, the Samsung Galaxy XCover FieldPro also has more cores. The Galaxy S7 edge captures greater videos and photos than Galaxy XCover FieldPro, because although it has a tinier diafragm aperture, and they both have the same resolution back facing camera, the Galaxy S7 edge also counts with a bigger back camera sensor capturing higher quality pictures and a way better 3840x2160 video definition.
The Samsung Galaxy XCover FieldPro has greater battery life than Samsung Galaxy S7 edge, because it has a 25% bigger battery capacity.
Although Galaxy XCover FieldPro is a better device, it costs a lot more money than Galaxy S7 edge, and it doesn't have such a good price and quality relation as the Galaxy S7 edge. If you are trying to save some dollars, you can buy the Galaxy S7 edge, and give up a couple features and specs, but you will get the most out of your budget.
