Xperia 1 III has a general score of 93.3, which is much better than Samsung Galaxy XCover Pro's 81 score. The Xperia 1 III is a newer phone, and it's also somewhat lighter and thinner than Samsung Galaxy XCover Pro. These devices use the same Android 11 OS (Operating System). Sony Xperia 1 III counts with a bit better performance than Samsung Galaxy XCover Pro, and although they both have 8 processing cores, the Sony Xperia 1 III also has a larger amount of RAM memory.
Xperia 1 III counts with a more vivid screen than Galaxy XCover Pro, because it has a bit bigger display, a much higher screen density and a way higher resolution of 1644 x 3840px. The Xperia 1 III has a very superior memory capacity for games and applications than Galaxy XCover Pro, because it has a slot for external memory cards that admits a maximum of 1 TB and 256 GB internal memory.
Sony Xperia 1 III shoots much better pictures and videos than Galaxy XCover Pro, because although it has a back camera with a way worse resolution, and they both have a same size camera aperture, the Sony Xperia 1 III also counts with a lot higher 3840x2160 (4K) video quality and a way larger back-facing camera sensor.
Sony Xperia 1 III features just a little bit longer battery performance than Samsung Galaxy XCover Pro, because it has a 4500mAh battery capacity instead of 4050mAh.
Although Xperia 1 III is a better device, it costs a lot more than Galaxy XCover Pro, and it doesn't have such a good price and quality relation as the Galaxy XCover Pro. So if you need that extra features, you can buy the Xperia 1 III, but if you don't you can save a couple dollars and get the Galaxy XCover Pro, giving up a couple specifications.
