Comparison review

The Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 5G is just a bit better than the Huawei Mate 40 Pro, having a 92.3 score against 90.9. Both phones in this review work with Android operating system, but Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 5G has a more recent 11 version while Huawei Mate 40 Pro has Android 10 version, providing the user a lot of extra features and performance improvements. Although Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 5G and the Huawei Mate 40 Pro were only released with a few months difference, Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 5G is incredibly thinner and somewhat lighter.

The Huawei Mate 40 Pro counts with a processor that is just as good as Galaxy Z Flip 5G's processor, both of them have a 8 GB RAM and the same number of cores. Huawei Mate 40 Pro counts with a little more vivid screen than Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 5G, because it has a quite bigger screen, a little bit more pixels per inch of display and a quite better 1334 x 2772 pixels resolution.

Huawei Mate 40 Pro captures much clearer pictures and videos than Galaxy Z Flip 5G, because although it has a tinier aperture which is not good for low light photos, and they both have the same (4K) video resolution and the same 60 fps video frame rate, the Huawei Mate 40 Pro also counts with a back camera with a way higher resolution and a lot bigger sensor.

Huawei Mate 40 Pro's memory capacity to store more apps and games is just as good as the Galaxy Z Flip 5G one, both of them have exactly the same 256 GB internal memory capacity. The Huawei Mate 40 Pro counts with superior battery life than Galaxy Z Flip 5G, because it has a 33 percent larger battery size.
