The Galaxy Z Flip 5G has an overall score of 92.3, which is better than the Samsung Galaxy S9's general score of 83.3. The Galaxy Z Flip 5G construction is newer and thinner than Samsung Galaxy S9's, but it's somewhat heavier. Samsung Galaxy S9 features a bit sharper display than Galaxy Z Flip 5G, because although it has a little smaller display, it also counts with a better amount of pixels per inch in the display and a higher resolution of 1440 x 2960 pixels.
The Galaxy Z Flip 5G features more memory to store more games and applications than Galaxy S9, because although it has no SD memory card expansion slot, it also counts with more internal storage. The Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 5G features just a little better hardware performance than Galaxy S9, and although they both have 8 cpu cores, the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 5G also has more RAM.
Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 5G features a bit better battery performance than Galaxy S9, because it has a 3300mAh battery size instead of 3000mAh. Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 5G and Galaxy S9 both have similar cameras, and although the Galaxy S9 has a bigger aperture, they both have a same resolution back-facing camera, the same video frame rates, a same size back camera sensor and the same (4K) video quality.
Although Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 5G is a better device, it is a lot more expensive than the Galaxy S9, and it doesn't have such a good relation between it's price and quality as Galaxy S9. If you prefer to save a few dollars, you can buy the Galaxy S9, letting go a couple features, but you will get the most out of your budget.
