Comparison review
Galaxy Z Fold 2 has an overall score of 94.6, which is a little bit better than Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 5G's 92.3 global score. Although Galaxy Z Fold 2 and Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 5G were only released 1 months apart, Galaxy Z Fold 2's design is just a little bit thinner but also noticeably heavier than Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 5G. Both phones we compare here work with the same Android 11 operating system.
The Galaxy Z Flip 5G has a little bit better display than Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 2, because although it has a little smaller screen and a bit worse resolution of 1080 x 2636px, it also counts with a just a bit greater quantity of pixels in each display inch. The Galaxy Z Fold 2's storage capacity for applications and games is very similar to Galaxy Z Flip 5G's one, both have exactly the same internal storage capacity.
The Galaxy Z Fold 2 and Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 5G count with incredibly similar CPUs, and although the Galaxy Z Fold 2 has a higher amount of RAM memory, they both have a Octa-Core CPU. The Galaxy Z Fold 2 captures clearer photographs and videos than Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 5G, and although they both have the same resolution camera, the same 3840x2160 video quality, the same video frame rate and the same camera aperture, the Galaxy Z Fold 2 also has a much bigger back-facing camera sensor shooting much higher quality photographs.
The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 2 counts with improved battery lifetime than Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 5G, because it has a 36 percent more battery capacity.
Although Galaxy Z Fold 2 is a better device, it costs a lot more money than the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 5G, and it doesn't have such a good price and quality relation as the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 5G. So if you need that extra features and specs, you can buy Galaxy Z Fold 2, else you can save some dollars and buy the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 5G, letting go a couple specifications.
