Galaxy Z Fold 2 has an overall score of 94.6, which is a little bit better than iPhone 8 Plus's 87.1 score. Even though the Galaxy Z Fold 2 is notably heavier than the iPhone 8 Plus, it's just a bit thinner and much newer. Apple iPhone 8 Plus has a bit sharper screen than Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 2, because although it has a way worse resolution of 1080 x 1920 pixels and a way smaller screen, it also counts with a little bit more pixels per inch in the display.
The Apple iPhone 8 Plus has a bit faster processing unit than Galaxy Z Fold 2, because although it has a smaller amount of RAM and an inferior number of slower cores, it also counts with a 64 bits CPU. The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 2 shoots a bit better photos and videos than iPhone 8 Plus, and although they both have the same 60 frames per second video frame rates, a same resolution back-facing camera, a same size diafragm aperture and the same video definition, the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 2 also has a way bigger sensor capturing more light and vivid colors.
The iPhone 8 Plus and Galaxy Z Fold 2 count with very similar storage for games and applications, they have the same internal memory capacity. The Galaxy Z Fold 2 counts with a much longer battery lifetime than Apple iPhone 8 Plus, because it has a 67 percent bigger battery size.
Although Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 2 is a better device, it is way more expensive than iPhone 8 Plus, and it doesn't have such a good relation between it's price and quality as iPhone 8 Plus. If you prefer to save some money, you can get the iPhone 8 Plus, giving up a few features and specifications, but you will get the most with your savings.
