Comparison review
The Galaxy Z Fold 2 has a score of 94.6, which is much better than Galaxy A31's 81.3 general score. Both phones in this review include Android operating system, but the Galaxy Z Fold 2 has a newer 11 version while Galaxy A31 has Android 10. Even though the Galaxy Z Fold 2 and the Galaxy A31 were released only 5 months apart, Galaxy Z Fold 2's body is much heavier but a lot thinner.
The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 2 has just a bit better performance than Samsung Galaxy A31, and although they both have the same number of cores, the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 2 also has a greater amount of RAM. The Galaxy Z Fold 2 and the Galaxy A31 count with quite similar screens, because although the Galaxy A31 has a quite smaller display and a bit lower resolution of 1080 x 2400 pixels, it also counts with a just a little greater screen density.
Samsung Galaxy A31 features a bit better camera than Galaxy Z Fold 2, because although it has a tinier camera aperture which is worse for low-light photos and videos, lower video frame rates and a smaller back camera sensor providing a lower image quality, and they both have the same video definition, the Samsung Galaxy A31 also counts with a way higher 48 mega-pixels resolution back camera.
Galaxy Z Fold 2 counts with a greater storage for apps and games than Samsung Galaxy A31, because although it has no external memory card slot, it also counts with more internal storage. The Samsung Galaxy A31 has just a little bit longer battery performance than Galaxy Z Fold 2, because it has 5000mAh of battery capacity against 4500mAh.
