Galaxy Z Fold 2 is way better than the Galaxy Alpha, having a 94.6 score against 76.3. The Galaxy Z Fold 2 is a just a little bit thicker and a lot heavier phone than the Galaxy Alpha. Both of these phones use Android OS (operating system), but the Galaxy Z Fold 2 has an older 11 version and Galaxy Alpha has Android 4.4.4 version.
The Galaxy Alpha features just a bit better screen than Galaxy Z Fold 2, although it has a much smaller screen, a way lower 1280 x 720 resolution and a little lower number of pixels per inch of display. The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 2 features a little faster CPU than Galaxy Alpha, because although it has doesn't have an extra GPU, it also counts with a greater number of cores and more RAM.
Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 2 has a way bigger memory for applications and games than Samsung Galaxy Alpha, because it has more internal memory capacity. The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 2 has a superior battery performance than Galaxy Alpha, because it has a 142 percent more battery capacity. Galaxy Z Fold 2 has a better camera than Samsung Galaxy Alpha, and although they both have the same 3840x2160 video quality and the same resolution back-facing camera, the Galaxy Z Fold 2 also has higher 60 frames per second video frame rates and a bigger aperture.
Although Galaxy Z Fold 2 is a better device, it costs a lot more money than Galaxy Alpha, and it doesn't have such a good price and quality relation as Galaxy Alpha. So if you want that extra features, you can buy the Galaxy Z Fold 2, otherwise you can save some money and buy the Galaxy Alpha, giving up a couple specifications.
