The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 2 is much better than the Samsung Galaxy S7 edge, with a 94.6 score against 78.1. Although Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 2 is notably heavier than Samsung Galaxy S7 edge, it's just a little thinner and a lot newer. These phones have Android OS (Operating System), but Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 2 has older 11 version while Samsung Galaxy S7 edge has Android 8.0 Oreo version.
The Galaxy Z Fold 2 counts with just a little better hardware performance than Galaxy S7 edge, because it has a greater number of cores and a greater amount of RAM. The Samsung Galaxy S7 edge has a bit better display than Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 2, because although it has a quite lower 1440 x 2560 resolution and a much smaller display, it also counts with more pixels per inch in the display.
Galaxy Z Fold 2 counts with just a bit better camera than Galaxy S7 edge, because although it has a tinier camera aperture which is not favorable for low-light captures and video, and they both have the same resolution camera and the same 3840x2160 video definition, the Galaxy Z Fold 2 also counts with a much larger camera sensor which provides a way better photo and video quality and faster video frame rate.

Although Galaxy Z Fold 2 is a better device, it costs a lot more than the Galaxy S7 edge, and it doesn't have such a good price and quality relation as the Galaxy S7 edge. So if you need that extra specs, you can buy the Galaxy Z Fold 2, otherwise you can save some dollars and buy the Galaxy S7 edge, letting go a couple features and specs.
