Comparison review
Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 2 has a global score of 94.6, which is much better than the Xperia Z5's score of 77.6. Both of these phones have Android OS, but the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 2 has a newer 11 version and Xperia Z5 has Android 5.1, so it counts with a couple nice extra features and performance optimizations. Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 2's construction is a lot newer and just a bit thinner than the Xperia Z5's, but it's also heavier.
The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 2 features a bit faster processor than Xperia Z5, because although it has doesn't have a graphics processing unit, and they both have the same number of cores, the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 2 also counts with more RAM memory. Xperia Z5 has a brighter display than Galaxy Z Fold 2, because although it has a much smaller screen and a way lower resolution of 1920 x 1080, it also counts with a bit better display density.
Sony Xperia Z5 has a slightly better camera than Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 2, because although it has slower 30 fps video frame rates and a lot tinier sensor taking less light and washed colors, and they both have the same camera aperture and the same (4K) video resolution, the Sony Xperia Z5 also counts with a way better 23 mega pixels resolution camera in the back.
The Galaxy Z Fold 2 counts with a lot bigger storage to store more games and applications than Sony Xperia Z5, because although it has no SD extension slot, it also counts with 224 GB more internal memory. Galaxy Z Fold 2 has a superior battery lifetime than Sony Xperia Z5, because it has 4500mAh of battery capacity.
Although Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 2 is a better device, it costs a lot more money than Sony Xperia Z5, and it doesn't have such a good relation between it's price and quality as Sony Xperia Z5. If you are trying to save a few dollars, you can buy the Sony Xperia Z5, letting go a few features and specifications, but you will get the most with your budget.
