Comparison review

The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 2 has a global score of 94.6, which is better than Sony Xperia Z5 Premium's global score of 79.8. Both phones we are comparing here include Android OS (operating system), but Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 2 has a newer 11 version while Sony Xperia Z5 Premium has Android 5.1, counting with a couple additional features and performance optimizations. The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 2 body is incredibly newer and thinner than the Sony Xperia Z5 Premium's, but it's much heavier.

The Xperia Z5 Premium has a way better display than Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 2, because although it has a way smaller screen, it also counts with a lot greater display density and a much better resolution of 3840 x 2160. Galaxy Z Fold 2 counts with a superior storage capacity to install games and applications than Sony Xperia Z5 Premium, because although it has no external memory card slot, it also counts with more internal storage.

The Galaxy Z Fold 2 counts with just a bit better performance than Sony Xperia Z5 Premium, because although it has doesn't have a GPU, and they both have the same number of cores, the Galaxy Z Fold 2 also counts with 9 GB more RAM. The Galaxy Z Fold 2 counts with greater battery duration than Sony Xperia Z5 Premium, because it has 4500mAh of battery capacity against 3430mAh.

Xperia Z5 Premium shoots clearer pictures and videos than Galaxy Z Fold 2, because although it has a lot smaller back-facing camera sensor and slower 30 frames per second video frame rates, and they both have the same 3840x2160 (4K) video quality and a F1.8 diafragm aperture, the Xperia Z5 Premium also counts with a much higher 23 megapixels resolution back facing camera.

Although Galaxy Z Fold 2 is a better device, it costs a lot more than Xperia Z5 Premium, and it doesn't have such a good price and quality relation as Xperia Z5 Premium. So if you need that extra specs, you can buy the Galaxy Z Fold 2, but if you don't you can save a couple dollars and get the Xperia Z5 Premium, letting go a couple specs and features.
