The Galaxy XCover 5 is slightly better than the Samsung W2016, getting a score of 78.1 against 72.2. Both devices in our current comparison work with Android OS, but the Galaxy XCover 5 has the previous 11 version while Samsung W2016 has Android 5.1 Lollipop version. Galaxy XCover 5's design is thinner and a little lighter than Samsung W2016.
The Samsung Galaxy XCover 5 has a processor that is very similar to the Samsung W2016 one, and although the Samsung Galaxy XCover 5 has 1 GB more RAM, they both have the same number of cores. The Samsung W2016 has a little sharper display than Galaxy XCover 5, because although it has a bit worse 768 x 1280 pixels resolution and a lot smaller screen, it also counts with a bit higher pixels amount in each inch in the screen.
Samsung Galaxy XCover 5 has a superior memory for applications and games than Samsung W2016, and although they both have exactly the same 64 GB internal storage, the Samsung Galaxy XCover 5 also has a slot for an external memory card that allows a maximum of 1 TB. Samsung W2016 counts with just a bit better camera than Galaxy XCover 5, because although it has a tinier diafragm aperture which is not good for shooting pictures and video in poorly lited situations, and they both have the same resolution back-facing camera, the Samsung W2016 also counts with a way better (4K) video definition.
Samsung Galaxy XCover 5 has a much better battery performance than Samsung W2016, because it has a 50% greater battery size.
