Moto G6 Play is slightly better than Sonim XP8, getting a 68.4 score against 62.3. The Moto G6 Play construction is thinner and incredibly lighter than Sonim XP8, even when they were released only a couple of months apart. Sonim XP8 counts with a more vivid display than Motorola Moto G6 Play, because although it has a little bit smaller screen, it also counts with a lot better resolution of 1080 x 1920 pixels and way more pixels per inch of display.
Sonim XP8 features a much greater memory for applications, games, photos and videos than Motorola Moto G6 Play, and although they both have a SD card slot that holds a maximum of 128 GB, the Sonim XP8 also has 64 GB internal storage. Sonim XP8 has a bit more powerful CPU than Moto G6 Play, because it has a larger number of cores and more RAM.
Motorola Moto G6 Play counts with a much better camera than Sonim XP8, because it has a back-facing camera with a higher resolution. Sonim XP8 counts with better battery lifetime than Moto G6 Play, because it has a 23 percent more battery capacity.
Even being the best phone in our comparison, the Moto G6 Play is also by far the cheapest one.
