Even though Xperia 1 II is much older than Asus ROG Phone 8, it's construction is thinner and somewhat lighter.
The Asus ROG Phone 8 counts with a bit more vivid display than Sony Xperia 1 II, because although it has a lot lower pixel amount per inch of screen and a much lower resolution of 1080 x 2400px, it also counts with a little bigger screen. Sony Xperia 1 II counts with a much greater hardware performance than Asus ROG Phone 8, although it has lesser RAM, they both have a Octa-Core CPU.
The Asus ROG Phone 8 counts with a much better camera than Xperia 1 II, because although it has a smaller aperture, it also counts with a bigger sensor shooting better quality videos and pictures, a lot more MP back camera and a lot better video definition. Xperia 1 II has a lot bigger memory to install applications and games or saving photos and videos than Asus ROG Phone 8, and although they both have equal internal memory capacity, the Xperia 1 II also has a SD extension slot that supports a maximum of 1000 GB.
The Asus ROG Phone 8 counts with a much better battery performance than Sony Xperia 1 II, because it has a 38 percent more battery size.
