Comparison review
The Sony Xperia 1 II is much better than the Huawei Mate 20, with a 91 score against 79.5. Sony Xperia 1 II is a newer cellphone, and it is also just a little bit lighter and just a little bit thinner than Huawei Mate 20. Both devices we compare here use Android OS (Operating System), but the Sony Xperia 1 II has the older 11 version while Huawei Mate 20 has Android 9.0 Pie version.
Xperia 1 II features a little sharper display than Huawei Mate 20, and although they both have a screen with the same size, the Xperia 1 II also has a way better 1644 x 3840 resolution and a lot better screen density. The Xperia 1 II has a much bigger memory capacity to store more apps and games than Huawei Mate 20, because it has an external memory card slot that supports a maximum of 1000 GB and 256 GB internal memory.
The Sony Xperia 1 II features a bit superior CPU than Huawei Mate 20, and although they both have 8 cores, the Sony Xperia 1 II also has a larger amount of RAM memory. Huawei Mate 20 has a battery performance that's very similar to the Xperia 1 II one. Xperia 1 II takes clearer pictures and videos than Huawei Mate 20, and although they both have the same resolution back facing camera and the same (4K) video resolution, the Xperia 1 II also has a way bigger sensor capturing more light and vivid colors, higher 60 fps video frame rates and a bigger aperture to take better images and videos in poorly lited environments.
