Xperia 1 II is a bit better than the Huawei Mate 30 5G, with a overall score of 91 against 87.4. The Xperia 1 II is a just a little bit lighter and just a little thinner device than the Huawei Mate 30 5G, even though they were released with only 7 months difference. Both phones in our current comparison work with Android operating system, but the Xperia 1 II has a newer 11 version and Huawei Mate 30 5G has Android 10 version, providing you some nice extra features.
Xperia 1 II counts with a sharper screen than Huawei Mate 30 5G, because although it has a quite smaller screen, it also counts with a much higher 1644 x 3840 resolution and a lot higher amount of pixels per display inch. Huawei Mate 30 5G features a processing unit that is very similar to the Xperia 1 II one, both of them have the same RAM memory amount and a Octa-Core processing unit.
Xperia 1 II has a much greater storage capacity for apps and games than Huawei Mate 30 5G, because it has 128 GB more internal memory and a SD memory card expansion slot that supports up to 1000 GB. Huawei Mate 30 5G counts with just a little better battery performance than Xperia 1 II, because it has a 5% larger battery capacity.
The Huawei Mate 30 5G takes better videos and photos than Sony Xperia 1 II, because although it has a smaller camera aperture, and they both have the same 60 frames per second video frame rates and the same 3840x2160 video resolution, the Huawei Mate 30 5G also counts with a back camera with a much better resolution and a bigger back-facing camera sensor.
