Comparison review

The Xperia 1 II has an overall score of 91, which is a little bit better than Huawei Mate 40 Pro's 90.9 overall score. Both of these devices work with Android OS (operating system), but the Xperia 1 II has a newer 11 version while Huawei Mate 40 Pro has Android 10. Even when the Xperia 1 II and Huawei Mate 40 Pro were released with only 5 months difference, the Xperia 1 II is somewhat lighter and somewhat thinner.

Huawei Mate 40 Pro counts with a little faster processing unit than Xperia 1 II. They have the same RAM amount and a Octa-Core processing unit. Xperia 1 II features just a bit better looking screen than Huawei Mate 40 Pro, because although it has a bit smaller screen, it also counts with a better 1644 x 3840px resolution and a greater display pixels density.

The Sony Xperia 1 II features a way bigger storage capacity to install applications and games than Huawei Mate 40 Pro, and although they both have exactly the same 256 GB internal memory capacity, the Sony Xperia 1 II also has an external memory card slot that supports up to 1000 GB. Huawei Mate 40 Pro features just a little better battery duration than Xperia 1 II, because it has a 4400mAh battery size instead of 4000mAh.

The Huawei Mate 40 Pro takes better photographs and videos than Xperia 1 II, because although it has a smaller diafragm aperture which is not good for shooting images and/or video in low-light situations, and they both have the same (4K) video resolution and the same 60 frames per second video frame rate, the Huawei Mate 40 Pro also counts with a lot larger camera sensor taking more light and vivid colors and a back camera with lot more mega pixels.
