Sony Xperia 1 II is better than Huawei Nova 9, with a 91 score against 81. Sony Xperia 1 II's construction has the same thickness than Huawei Nova 9, but it is a bit heavier. Both devices in this review come with the same Android 11 OS, so they should provide all the same OS features. Xperia 1 II has a more vivid display than Huawei Nova 9, because although it has a little bit smaller display, it also counts with a much greater display density and a much higher resolution of 1644 x 3840px.
Xperia 1 II features just a bit better processing power than Huawei Nova 9. They have a 8 GB RAM and 8 cores. The Huawei Nova 9 features a slightly better camera than Xperia 1 II, because although it has lower video frame rate and a smaller aperture which is not favorable for low-light captures and video, and they both have the same 3840x2160 (4K) video resolution, the Huawei Nova 9 also counts with a much more megapixels back facing camera.
Sony Xperia 1 II counts with much more memory capacity to install games and applications than Huawei Nova 9, because it has 256 GB internal memory and a SD memory card expansion slot that supports up to 1000 GB.
