Comparison review

The Xperia 1 II has a general score of 91, which is a little bit better than Motorola edge's 89.6 score. Both of these phones come with Android operating system, but the Xperia 1 II has the newer 11 version and Motorola edge has Android 10, counting with some nice extra features and performance optimizations. The Xperia 1 II construction is just a little lighter and somewhat thinner than Motorola edge, even though they were released only a few months apart.

Xperia 1 II features a much better display than Motorola edge, because although it has a quite smaller screen, it also counts with a way higher resolution of 1644 x 3840 pixels and a lot higher display density. Motorola edge's storage capacity for games and applications is very similar to the Xperia 1 II one, they have a slot for SD memory cards that allows up to 1000 GB and exactly the same 256 GB internal storage capacity.

Xperia 1 II features a bit more powerful processing unit than Motorola edge, and although they both have 8 processing cores, the Xperia 1 II also has more RAM memory. Motorola edge has a better camera than Xperia 1 II, because although it has slower 30 fps video frame rate and a smaller aperture which is worse for low-light photography and video, and they both have a same size sensor and the same video resolution, the Motorola edge also counts with a back camera with lot more mega pixels.

Motorola edge features just a little bit longer battery lifetime than Xperia 1 II, because it has 4500mAh of battery capacity.
