Xperia 1 II is much better than Motorola Edge 50 Neo, getting a global score of 91 against 81.9. Both phones in this review use Android OS (operating system), but Xperia 1 II has the previous 11 version while Motorola Edge 50 Neo has Android 14. The Xperia 1 II body is just a little thinner than the Motorola Edge 50 Neo, although it is just a little heavier and was released 4 years before.
Sony Xperia 1 II has a very superior processing power than Motorola Edge 50 Neo. Both have 8 cores and 8 GB of RAM. Motorola Edge 50 Neo counts with a much better screen than Xperia 1 II, although it has a lot lower 1256 x 2760px resolution, a little smaller display and much lesser pixels per display inch.
The Sony Xperia 1 II has a superior memory capacity to install games and applications than Motorola Edge 50 Neo, and although they both have the same 256 GB internal memory, the Sony Xperia 1 II also has a SD memory slot that supports a maximum of 1000 GB. Motorola Edge 50 Neo features just a little bit longer battery lifetime than Xperia 1 II, because it has an 8% more battery size.
The Motorola Edge 50 Neo shoots much clearer photographs and videos than Xperia 1 II, because although it has slower video frame rates and a smaller aperture, and they both have the same video quality, the Motorola Edge 50 Neo also counts with a larger sensor providing a better image quality and a camera in the back with a much better resolution.
