Sony Xperia 1 II is much better than the Motorola Moto G9 Play, having a 91 score against 76.7. Even when Sony Xperia 1 II and Motorola Moto G9 Play were released only 3 months apart, Sony Xperia 1 II is somewhat thinner and a little lighter. These phones include Android operating system, but Sony Xperia 1 II has a more recent 11 version while Motorola Moto G9 Play has Android 10 version.

Xperia 1 II has a bit more powerful processing unit than Moto G9 Play, and although they both have a Octa-Core CPU, the Xperia 1 II also has a higher amount of RAM.
