Comparison review
Xperia 1 II is just a bit better than the Galaxy A50, getting a 91 score against 83.8. Xperia 1 II is a newer phone than the Galaxy A50, but it's a little thicker and a bit heavier. Sony Xperia 1 II has a bit better processor than Galaxy A50, and although they both have a Octa-Core processor, the Sony Xperia 1 II also has more RAM memory.
The Xperia 1 II has a better looking display than Galaxy A50, because it has a way better resolution of 1644 x 3840 pixels, a lot more pixels per inch of screen and a quite larger display. The Xperia 1 II counts with a superior memory capacity to store more games and applications than Galaxy A50, because it has 256 GB internal storage capacity and an external memory card slot that supports a maximum of 1000 GB.
Sony Xperia 1 II captures slightly better photos and videos than Galaxy A50, because although it has a much worse resolution back facing camera, and they both have a same size aperture, the Sony Xperia 1 II also counts with a much higher 3840x2160 (4K) video resolution and a lot bigger sensor providing a way better image quality.
The Samsung Galaxy A50 has a battery lifetime that is very similar to the battery life in Xperia 1 II.
