The Xperia 1 II has a score of 91, which is better than Galaxy J8's overall score of 76.7. Both phones in this review include Android operating system, but Xperia 1 II has a newer 11 version while Galaxy J8 has Android 10 version, giving you some nice extra features and a performance increase. Xperia 1 II's construction is newer and a little thinner, but a little bit heavier than the Galaxy J8.

Xperia 1 II features a bit better processing unit than Galaxy J8, and although they both have the same number of cores, the Xperia 1 II also has 4 GB more RAM. Xperia 1 II features a much more vibrant screen than Galaxy J8, because it has a bit bigger screen, a much higher 1644 x 3840 resolution and a lot greater pixel number per screen inch.

The Sony Xperia 1 II has a very superior storage capacity for applications, games, photos and videos than Samsung Galaxy J8, because it has 192 GB more internal memory capacity and a SD memory card expansion slot that supports a maximum of 1000 GB. Sony Xperia 1 II captures better photos and videos than Samsung Galaxy J8, because although it has a much less mega pixels resolution camera, and they both have a F1.7 diafragm aperture, the Sony Xperia 1 II also counts with a way better 3840x2160 video resolution and a lot bigger camera sensor providing a lot better image quality.

The Xperia 1 II features just a little bit longer battery lifetime than Samsung Galaxy J8, because it has a 4000mAh battery size.
