Sony Xperia 1 II is much better than the Samsung Galaxy S7 edge, having a global score of 91 against 78.1. Both devices in this review have Android OS (operating system), but the Sony Xperia 1 II has the older 11 version and Samsung Galaxy S7 edge has Android 8.0 Oreo. Sony Xperia 1 II's design is notably newer, but just a little thicker and somewhat heavier than the Samsung Galaxy S7 edge.
Sony Xperia 1 II has just a little better performance than Samsung Galaxy S7 edge, because it has 4 GB more RAM memory and a higher number of cores (and also faster). The Xperia 1 II has a slightly better display than Samsung Galaxy S7 edge, because it has a higher 1644 x 3840 resolution, a larger display and a bit more pixels per display inch.
