The Sony Xperia 1 II is much better than the Xperia Z5 Premium, getting a 91 score against 79.8. Sony Xperia 1 II's construction has the same thickness than the Xperia Z5 Premium, but it's a bit heavier. Both phones in this review have Android OS (operating system), but the Sony Xperia 1 II has the newer 11 version while Xperia Z5 Premium has Android 5.1, so it provides you a couple additional features and improved performance.
Sony Xperia 1 II has a little bit better performance than Xperia Z5 Premium, because although it has doesn't have an additional graphics co-processor, and they both have 8 cores, the Sony Xperia 1 II also counts with a greater amount of RAM. Xperia Z5 Premium counts with a better looking display than Sony Xperia 1 II, because although it has a little smaller display, it also counts with a slightly higher resolution of 3840 x 2160 and a little bit more pixels per inch of screen.
Xperia Z5 Premium counts with a bit better camera than Xperia 1 II, because although it has slower video frame rate, a smaller aperture which is not good for taking photos or video in low-light situations and a lot tinier sensor taking less light and dull colors, and they both have the same 3840x2160 video quality, the Xperia Z5 Premium also counts with a way higher resolution back-facing camera.
The Xperia 1 II counts with much more storage capacity to store more games and applications than Sony Xperia Z5 Premium, because it has 224 GB more internal memory capacity and a slot for SD memory cards that supports up to 1000 GB.
