Comparison review
Sony Xperia 1 III is just a bit better than iPhone 12, having a overall score of 93.3 against 88.7. Sony Xperia 1 III comes with Android 11 OS, while iPhone 12 works with iOS 15.x OS. Despite being the best in this review, the Sony Xperia 1 III body is heavier and a little thicker than iPhone 12.
The iPhone 12 counts with just a little better processing power than Xperia 1 III, because although it has lesser RAM and a lower number of cores (although they are faster), it also counts with a 64 bits CPU. Apple iPhone 12 has a bit better looking screen than Xperia 1 III, although it has a little smaller screen, a way worse screen density and a lot worse 1170 x 2532px resolution.
Sony Xperia 1 III features a lot bigger memory to install applications and games or saving photos and videos than Apple iPhone 12, because it has 256 GB internal storage capacity and a SD memory card expansion slot that supports up to 1 TB. The Xperia 1 III counts with a much longer battery duration than Apple iPhone 12, because it has 4500mAh of battery capacity.
The Sony Xperia 1 III shoots slightly better pictures and videos than iPhone 12, because although it has a tinier aperture which is not nice for shooting photographs and video in low-light environments, and they both have the same 3840x2160 video quality and a 12 MP back facing camera, the Sony Xperia 1 III also counts with higher 120 fps video frame rate.
Although Sony Xperia 1 III is a better device, it costs a lot more than Apple iPhone 12, and it doesn't have such a good relation between it's price and quality as Apple iPhone 12. So if you want that extra specs, you can buy the Sony Xperia 1 III, otherwise you can save a couple dollars and buy the Apple iPhone 12, letting go a couple features and specs.
