Comparison review
The Xperia 1 III has a global score of 93.3, which is a bit better than the iPhone 8 Plus's 87.1 global score. The Xperia 1 III design is a lot newer and a little lighter than iPhone 8 Plus's, but it's just a bit thicker. Xperia 1 III features a little more vivid screen than iPhone 8 Plus, because it has a much better pixel density, a lot better 1644 x 3840 pixels resolution and a bigger screen.
The iPhone 8 Plus counts with a bit faster CPU than Xperia 1 III, because although it has a lower amount of RAM and an inferior number of cores, it also counts with a 64 bits processor. The Sony Xperia 1 III counts with a bit better camera than iPhone 8 Plus, and although they both have the same 3840x2160 (4K) video quality and a same resolution camera in the back, the Sony Xperia 1 III also has a larger diafragm aperture to take better images and video in low-light environments, a much larger back camera sensor capturing lot higher quality videos and photographs and better 120 frames per second video frame rate.
The Xperia 1 III has a superior storage capacity to install applications and games than iPhone 8 Plus, and although they both have equal 256 GB internal memory capacity, the Xperia 1 III also has a SD extension slot that allows up to 1 TB. Xperia 1 III features a much longer battery duration than iPhone 8 Plus, because it has 4500mAh of battery capacity.
The Xperia 1 III costs more money than iPhone 8 Plus, but you can get a better phone for that few extra dollars.
