Comparison review
The Asus ROG Phone 5 Ultimate has a general score of 94, which is a bit better than the Sony Xperia 1 III's 93.3 overall score. Although it's the best cellphone in our current comparison, Asus ROG Phone 5 Ultimate's design is incredibly heavier and much thicker than the Sony Xperia 1 III. The Asus ROG Phone 5 Ultimate has a bit more powerful processor than Xperia 1 III, and although they both have 8 CPU cores, the Asus ROG Phone 5 Ultimate also has 6 GB more RAM.
Xperia 1 III counts with a slightly better screen than Asus ROG Phone 5 Ultimate, because although it has a bit smaller display, it also counts with a much better 1644 x 3840 resolution and way more pixels per inch in the screen. The Asus ROG Phone 5 Ultimate counts with a much better camera than Xperia 1 III, because although it has a tinier aperture, and they both have a same size sensor, the Asus ROG Phone 5 Ultimate also counts with a much higher 7680x4320 video quality and a camera in the back with a way higher resolution.
The Xperia 1 III features a little bit more storage capacity for applications and games than Asus ROG Phone 5 Ultimate, because although it has less internal memory capacity, it also counts with a slot for an external memory card that admits up to 1 TB. Asus ROG Phone 5 Ultimate has greater battery performance than Sony Xperia 1 III, because it has 6000mAh of battery capacity instead of 4500mAh.
