Comparison review
The Sony Xperia 1 III is much better than the Google Pixel 3a XL, having a general score of 93.3 against 78.9. These devices have the same Android 11 OS, so both of them should give very similar operating system features. Sony Xperia 1 III is a heavier phone than Google Pixel 3a XL, but they are equally thin.
The Xperia 1 III features a bit better performance than Google Pixel 3a XL, and although they both have a Octa-Core processor, the Xperia 1 III also has a larger amount of RAM memory. The Sony Xperia 1 III features a sharper screen than Google Pixel 3a XL, because it has a lot higher 1644 x 3840 pixels resolution, a bit larger screen and a much better display pixel density.
The Sony Xperia 1 III features a better camera than Google Pixel 3a XL, because although it has a worse video resolution and a back facing camera with a worse 12 mega pixels resolution, it also counts with a way larger sensor which offers a way higher photo and video quality and a bigger camera aperture to take better low light captures.
The Xperia 1 III features a much greater storage capacity for games and applications than Google Pixel 3a XL, because it has a slot for SD memory cards that admits up to 1 TB and more internal memory capacity.
