Comparison review
The Sony Xperia 1 III is much better than Huawei P20 Pro, with a 93.3 score against 81.4. Sony Xperia 1 III is a noticeably newer cellphone than Huawei P20 Pro, although it's just a little bit heavier and a little bit thicker. Both devices we compare here come with Android operating system, but the Sony Xperia 1 III has the newer 11 version and Huawei P20 Pro has Android 10, giving some additional features and enhanced performance.
Sony Xperia 1 III features a more vivid display than Huawei P20 Pro, because it has a quite bigger display, a much higher resolution of 1644 x 3840 pixels and a much better pixels quantity per display inch. Sony Xperia 1 III counts with a little bit better performance than Huawei P20 Pro, and although they both have a Octa-Core processor, the Sony Xperia 1 III also has 6 GB more RAM memory.
The Huawei P20 Pro takes slightly better photographs and videos than Sony Xperia 1 III, because although it has a tinier aperture which is not good for low light photos, slower 30 frames per second video frame rates and a tinier back-facing camera sensor shooting lower quality images, and they both have the same video definition, the Huawei P20 Pro also counts with a lot better 40 megapixels resolution back-facing camera.
The Xperia 1 III has a very superior memory for apps and games than Huawei P20 Pro, because it has an external SD slot that supports up to 1 TB and 256 GB internal storage capacity. The Sony Xperia 1 III features a little longer battery performance than Huawei P20 Pro, because it has a 13% more battery size.
Although Sony Xperia 1 III is a better device, it is way more expensive than Huawei P20 Pro, and it doesn't have such a good price and quality relation as Huawei P20 Pro. If you want to save a few dollars, you can get Huawei P20 Pro, giving up some specs and features, but you will get the most out of your budget.
