Comparison review
The Xperia 1 III is just a bit better than the Huawei P40, getting a 93.3 score against 86.4. The Xperia 1 III design is newer and a little thinner, but a little bit heavier than Huawei P40. Both phones in this comparison work with Android operating system, but Xperia 1 III has a more recent 11 version while Huawei P40 has Android 10 version, counting with some nice extra features and performance improvements.
The Xperia 1 III has a brighter screen than Huawei P40, because it has a little bit bigger screen, a lot better count of pixels per screen inch and a way higher resolution of 1644 x 3840 pixels. Xperia 1 III counts with a little faster processing unit than Huawei P40, and although they both have the same number of cores, the Xperia 1 III also has 6 GB more RAM.
Xperia 1 III has a way bigger storage capacity for games and applications than Huawei P40, because it has 256 GB internal memory capacity and a slot for external memory cards that admits up to 1 TB. Huawei P40 shoots much clearer photographs and videos than Sony Xperia 1 III, because although it has lower video frame rates and a tinier aperture, and they both have the same 3840x2160 (4K) video quality, the Huawei P40 also counts with a back camera with lot more megapixels and a lot bigger camera sensor which provides a way higher image and video quality.

Although Xperia 1 III is a better device, it costs a lot more money than the Huawei P40, and it doesn't have such a good relation between it's price and quality as Huawei P40. If you are trying to save some money, you can buy the Huawei P40, giving up a couple features, but you will get the most out of your savings.
