The Sony Xperia 1 III is much better than the LG G7 ThinQ, with a 93.3 score against 81. Both devices in this comparison have Android OS (operating system), but the Sony Xperia 1 III has the older 11 version while LG G7 ThinQ has Android 9.0 Pie. The Sony Xperia 1 III body is newer than LG G7 ThinQ's, but it is just a little bit thicker and somewhat heavier.

The Sony Xperia 1 III features a bit superior CPU than LG G7 ThinQ, and although they both have 8 cores, the Sony Xperia 1 III also has a larger amount of RAM memory. LG G7 ThinQ features a little sharper display than Xperia 1 III, although it has a quite smaller screen, a bit less pixels per screen inch and a little bit lower 1440 x 3120 resolution.

The Xperia 1 III has a much bigger memory capacity to store more apps and games than LG G7 ThinQ, because although it has an external memory card slot that supports a maximum of 1 TB against 1,95 TB, it also counts with 256 GB internal memory. Xperia 1 III has a superior battery performance than LG G7 ThinQ, because it has a 4500mAh battery capacity.

Xperia 1 III takes clearer pictures and videos than LG G7 ThinQ, because although it has a worse video quality, a smaller aperture and a way less mega-pixels resolution back facing camera, it also counts with a way bigger back camera sensor shooting much better quality videos and pictures.

Although Sony Xperia 1 III is a better device, it is a lot more expensive than LG G7 ThinQ, and it doesn't have such a good price and quality relation as LG G7 ThinQ. So if you want that extra features, you can buy the Sony Xperia 1 III, but if you don't you can save some dollars and buy the LG G7 ThinQ, letting go some specs and features.
