Comparison review

The Xperia 1 III is much better than the LG G8 ThinQ, getting a 93.3 score against 84.3. Xperia 1 III's body is much newer and just a little thinner, but heavier than the LG G8 ThinQ. Both phones in this comparison come with Android OS (Operating System), but the Xperia 1 III has the previous 11 version and LG G8 ThinQ has Android 9.0 Pie version.

LG G8 ThinQ features a bit better looking screen than Sony Xperia 1 III, although it has a just a little worse screen density, a bit smaller screen and a little worse resolution of 1440 x 3120 pixels. Xperia 1 III has a little bit more storage to install applications and games or saving photos and videos than LG G8 ThinQ, because although it has a SD memory card expansion slot that holds a maximum of 1 TB against 1,95 TB, it also counts with 256 GB internal storage.

The Xperia 1 III features a bit better processing power than LG G8 ThinQ, and although they both have 8 CPU cores, the Xperia 1 III also has 6 GB more RAM memory. Xperia 1 III shoots just a bit better photos and videos than LG G8 ThinQ, because although it has a tinier aperture which is not so good for shooting pictures in poorly lited environments, and they both have the same 3840x2160 (4K) video definition and a 12 MP camera in the back, the Xperia 1 III also counts with better 120 frames per second video frame rate and a much bigger back camera sensor capturing way better quality photos.

Sony Xperia 1 III features longer battery life than LG G8 ThinQ, because it has a 4500mAh battery size against 3500mAh.

Although Xperia 1 III is a better device, it costs a lot more than LG G8 ThinQ, and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as the LG G8 ThinQ. If you want to save some money, you can buy the LG G8 ThinQ, letting go a couple features, but you'll get the most out of your savings.
