Comparison review
The Xperia 1 III has a general score of 93.3, which is a little bit better than LG Velvet's 87.1 global score. Xperia 1 III's design is newer, but a bit heavier and just a little bit thicker than the LG Velvet. Sony Xperia 1 III counts with a better looking screen than LG Velvet, because although it has a little bit smaller screen, it also counts with a lot better display pixel density and a much better 1644 x 3840 resolution.
Sony Xperia 1 III has a slightly bigger storage for apps and games than LG Velvet, because although it has an external memory slot that admits up to 1 TB against 1,95 TB, it also counts with 256 GB internal memory. The Xperia 1 III features a bit better processor than LG Velvet, and although they both have the same number of cores, the Xperia 1 III also has 6 GB more RAM memory.
The LG Velvet takes a little bit better videos and photos than Xperia 1 III, because although it has a smaller camera aperture which is not good for taking pictures or videos in poorly lited situations, a tinier sensor and lower video frame rate, and they both have the same 3840x2160 video definition, the LG Velvet also counts with a back camera with a lot higher 48 megapixels resolution.
Sony Xperia 1 III features just a bit longer battery life than LG Velvet, because it has 4500mAh of battery capacity instead of 4300mAh.
Although Xperia 1 III is a better device, it costs a lot more money than LG Velvet, and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as LG Velvet. So if you want that extra features, you can buy Xperia 1 III, otherwise you can save some money and buy the LG Velvet, giving up some specifications.
