Comparison review

The Xperia 1 III has an overall score of 93.3, which is a little bit better than the Motorola edge's 89.6 score. Xperia 1 III is a newer phone, and it's also somewhat thinner and just a little lighter than the Motorola edge. Both phones in this comparison come with Android OS, but Xperia 1 III has newer 11 version while Motorola edge has Android 10 version, giving you some extra features and performance enhancements.

The Xperia 1 III has a more vivid screen than Motorola edge, because although it has a little bit smaller display, it also counts with a way better pixels density and a lot better resolution of 1644 x 3840 pixels. The Xperia 1 III features a bit faster CPU than Motorola edge, and although they both have the same number of cores, the Xperia 1 III also has more RAM.

The Motorola edge captures much clearer pictures and videos than Xperia 1 III, because although it has a tinier aperture and slower 30 fps video frame rates, and they both have a same size sensor and the same 3840x2160 (4K) video definition, the Motorola edge also counts with a much more mega-pixels camera.

Sony Xperia 1 III counts with just a bit more storage capacity for applications, games, photos and videos than Motorola edge, and although they both have the same internal storage capacity, the Sony Xperia 1 III also has a slot for SD memory cards that admits a maximum of 1 TB. Motorola edge and Xperia 1 III both feature similar batteries performance.

Although Xperia 1 III is a better device, it is a lot more expensive than the Motorola edge, and it doesn't have such a good relation between it's price and quality as the Motorola edge. If you want to save some money, you can get the Motorola edge, giving up a few features and specs, but you will get the most out of your budget.
