Comparison review

The Xperia 1 III is a lot better than Motorola Edge 40, having a 93.3 score against 77.2. Even being the best we are comparing, we must highlight that it's also older, heavier and a little bit thicker. These phones come with Android OS (Operating System), but Xperia 1 III has an older 11 version while Motorola Edge 40 has Android 13.

The Sony Xperia 1 III has a slightly better looking display than Motorola Edge 40, and although they both have a display of the same size, the Sony Xperia 1 III also has a much better pixel density and a lot higher resolution of 1644 x 3840 pixels. Sony Xperia 1 III counts with a lot bigger storage to store more games and applications than Motorola Edge 40, because it has 256 GB internal memory and a slot for external memory cards that allows up to 1 TB.

Xperia 1 III features an extremely better processing unit than Motorola Edge 40, and although they both have a Octa-Core processing unit, the Xperia 1 III also has more RAM. The Motorola Edge 40 takes slightly better videos and photos than Xperia 1 III, because although it has lower video frame rates, and they both have the same 3840x2160 video resolution, the Motorola Edge 40 also counts with a bigger sensor which offers a better image and video quality, a larger aperture for better low-light captures and videos and a back-facing camera with much more MP.

The Xperia 1 III features a little better battery life than Motorola Edge 40, because it has a 2% more battery size.
