Xperia 1 III is much better than the Motorola Moto G 5G Plus, getting a 93.3 score against 82.6. The Xperia 1 III is a newer phone, and it's also a bit lighter and a little thinner than the Motorola Moto G 5G Plus. The Xperia 1 III has a little bit better hardware performance than Motorola Moto G 5G Plus, and although they both have a Octa-Core processor, the Xperia 1 III also has more RAM.

Xperia 1 III has a sharper screen than Moto G 5G Plus, because although it has a quite smaller screen, it also counts with a lot better resolution of 1644 x 3840 pixels and a much better quantity of pixels per inch in the screen. The Xperia 1 III counts with a very superior storage for applications and games than Moto G 5G Plus, because it has an external memory slot that supports a maximum of 1 TB and 192 GB more internal storage capacity.

The Moto G 5G Plus features a bit longer battery performance than Xperia 1 III, because it has a 5000mAh battery capacity instead of 4500mAh. The Moto G 5G Plus counts with just a bit better camera than Sony Xperia 1 III, because although it has slower video frame rates and a tinier back-facing camera sensor giving a worse image quality, and they both have the same (4K) video resolution and a same size camera aperture, the Moto G 5G Plus also counts with a much higher 48 megapixels resolution back-facing camera.
