Xperia 1 III is way better than Moto Z3 Play, with a global score of 93.3 against 76.3. Although the Xperia 1 III is notably newer than the Moto Z3 Play, it is somewhat thicker and somewhat heavier. Xperia 1 III has a bit faster CPU than Motorola Moto Z3 Play, and although they both have the same number of cores, the Xperia 1 III also has more RAM memory.
The Sony Xperia 1 III has a better looking display than Motorola Moto Z3 Play, because it has a lot higher resolution of 1644 x 3840, a little bit bigger display and a much greater pixel quantity per inch of screen. The Xperia 1 III counts with a much better camera than Moto Z3 Play, and although they both have a F1.7 aperture, a same resolution camera and the same 3840x2160 (4K) video definition, the Xperia 1 III also has better video frame rates and a lot larger sensor which gives a way higher photo and video quality.
The Xperia 1 III counts with a superior memory capacity to install games and applications than Motorola Moto Z3 Play, because although it has an external memory slot that holds 976 GB smaller, it also counts with 256 GB internal storage capacity. The Sony Xperia 1 III features a way better battery life than Motorola Moto Z3 Play, because it has 4500mAh of battery capacity against 3000mAh.
Xperia 1 III is way more expensive than the Moto Z3 Play, but it's still a good choice, because you can get a better phone for that extra money.
