Sony Xperia 1 III has a general score of 93.3, which is much better than OnePlus 7T Pro 5G McLaren's score of 80.1. The Sony Xperia 1 III is a newer cellphone, and it's also just a little bit thinner and somewhat lighter than OnePlus 7T Pro 5G McLaren. Both of these devices come with Android operating system, but Sony Xperia 1 III has 11 version while OnePlus 7T Pro 5G McLaren has Android 10 version.
The Sony Xperia 1 III features a bit sharper screen than OnePlus 7T Pro 5G McLaren, because although it has a bit smaller screen, it also counts with a better 1644 x 3840px resolution and more pixels per inch in the display. The OnePlus 7T Pro 5G McLaren has a bit more powerful processor than Sony Xperia 1 III. Both of them have 12 GB of RAM memory and 8 cores.
The OnePlus 7T Pro 5G McLaren shoots much better videos and photos than Xperia 1 III, because although it has a tinier sensor and worse video frame rate, and they both have the same video definition, the OnePlus 7T Pro 5G McLaren also counts with a larger camera aperture to capture better photos and video in low light situations and a back-facing camera with much more mega pixels.
Xperia 1 III has a much greater memory for applications, games, photos and videos than OnePlus 7T Pro 5G McLaren, and although they both have exactly the same internal memory capacity, the Xperia 1 III also has a SD memory card expansion slot that supports a maximum of 1 TB. The Sony Xperia 1 III features a bit superior battery life than OnePlus 7T Pro 5G McLaren, because it has a 10% more battery size.
Although Sony Xperia 1 III is a better device, it is a lot more expensive than the OnePlus 7T Pro 5G McLaren, and it doesn't have such a good relation between it's price and quality as the OnePlus 7T Pro 5G McLaren. So if you want that extra features and specs, you can buy Sony Xperia 1 III, but if you don't you can save a couple dollars and get the OnePlus 7T Pro 5G McLaren, giving up a couple features and specifications.
