Comparison review
The Sony Xperia 1 III has an overall score of 93.3, which is way better than OnePlus 8 UW's 75.9 general score. These phones use Android OS, but the Sony Xperia 1 III has the newer 11 version while OnePlus 8 UW has Android 10 version, giving you a couple nice extra features. Although Sony Xperia 1 III is newer than OnePlus 8 UW, it's just a bit thicker and a little heavier.
Xperia 1 III features just a bit better display than OnePlus 8 UW, and although they both have a display with the same size, the Xperia 1 III also has a lot better 1644 x 3840 pixels resolution and a lot higher display pixel density. Xperia 1 III features a little faster CPU than OnePlus 8 UW, and although they both have the same number of cores, the Xperia 1 III also has more RAM memory.
The Xperia 1 III counts with a much bigger storage capacity to store more games and applications than OnePlus 8 UW, because it has 256 GB internal memory and a SD memory slot that supports a maximum of 1 TB. The Xperia 1 III has just a little bit longer battery lifetime than OnePlus 8 UW, because it has 4500mAh of battery capacity instead of 4300mAh.
OnePlus 8 UW has a bit better camera than Xperia 1 III, because although it has a tinier diafragm aperture, a smaller camera sensor taking worse quality videos and photos and lower 60 fps video frame rates, and they both have the same video quality, the OnePlus 8 UW also counts with a much more mega-pixels back camera.
Xperia 1 III costs a lot more than OnePlus 8 UW, but it's still a convenient choice, because you can get a much better phone for that extra money.
