Comparison review
The Sony Xperia 1 III has a score of 93.3, which is much better than the Galaxy A40's global score of 79.6. Both phones in our current comparison use the same Android 11 OS (operating system), so you shouldn't see any difference regarding operating system features. The Sony Xperia 1 III body is extremely newer, but a little bit thicker and way heavier than the Galaxy A40.
Xperia 1 III features a much better display than Galaxy A40, because it has a higher quantity of pixels per inch in the display, a little larger screen and a lot better 1644 x 3840 resolution. Xperia 1 III counts with a bit better performance than Samsung Galaxy A40, and although they both have a Octa-Core processing unit, the Xperia 1 III also has a higher amount of RAM.
Xperia 1 III has a lot bigger memory capacity for games and applications than Galaxy A40, because it has a slot for an SD memory card that admits up to 1 TB and 256 GB internal memory capacity. Xperia 1 III shoots much better pictures and videos than Galaxy A40, because although it has a camera with much less mega-pixels resolution, and they both have a F1.7 camera aperture, the Xperia 1 III also counts with a lot better 3840x2160 (4K) video resolution and a much bigger back-facing camera sensor providing a much higher image quality.
Sony Xperia 1 III has a much longer battery performance than Galaxy A40, because it has 4500mAh of battery capacity.
