Comparison review
Xperia 1 III has an overall score of 93.3, which is slightly better than the Galaxy A51's general score of 85.5. Even though Xperia 1 III is newer than Galaxy A51, it is a little heavier and just a bit thicker. Both phones in our current comparison work with the same Android 11 OS (operating system), so you shouldn't perceive any differences regarding that.
The Sony Xperia 1 III features a bit more powerful CPU than Galaxy A51, and although they both have 8 cpu cores, the Sony Xperia 1 III also has 8 GB more RAM memory. Xperia 1 III has a sharper screen than Galaxy A51, and although they both have a same size screen, the Xperia 1 III also has a way better resolution of 1644 x 3840px and a lot greater screen pixel density.
Xperia 1 III features a superior storage capacity to store more apps and games than Samsung Galaxy A51, because it has a slot for external memory cards that admits a maximum of 1 TB and 256 GB internal storage. Sony Xperia 1 III features just a little bit longer battery performance than Samsung Galaxy A51, because it has a 13% larger battery size.
The Galaxy A51 shoots clearer photos and videos than Sony Xperia 1 III, because although it has lower 30 fps video frame rates, a smaller aperture which is not so good for low-light photos and a tinier sensor which provides a worse photo and video quality, and they both have the same (4K) video quality, the Galaxy A51 also counts with a back facing camera with much more MP.
Although Xperia 1 III is a better device, it is a lot more expensive than Samsung Galaxy A51, and it doesn't have such a good price and quality relation as the Samsung Galaxy A51. If you prefer to save some money, you can buy the Samsung Galaxy A51, and give up a couple features, but you will get the most with your savings.
