Comparison review
Xperia 1 III is a bit better than the Galaxy Note 20, having a 93.3 score against 90.8. The Xperia 1 III is a newer phone, and it's also just a little thinner and a little lighter than Galaxy Note 20. The Xperia 1 III has a more vivid screen than Samsung Galaxy Note 20, because although it has a bit smaller display, it also counts with a much greater pixel number per screen inch and a much better 1644 x 3840 resolution.
Xperia 1 III features a much better storage capacity for applications, games, photos and videos than Galaxy Note 20, because it has an external SD slot that allows up to 1 TB and more internal storage. The Galaxy Note 20 counts with a processing unit that's just as good as the Sony Xperia 1 III one, and although the Galaxy Note 20 has a lower amount of RAM, they both have the same number of cores.
The Xperia 1 III features just a bit better battery duration than Samsung Galaxy Note 20, because it has 4500mAh of battery capacity. Xperia 1 III shoots a bit better pictures and videos than Samsung Galaxy Note 20, and although they both have the same 3840x2160 (4K) video resolution and the same resolution camera in the back, the Xperia 1 III also has a larger sensor capturing more light and vivid colors, a larger aperture to take better low-light photos and video and better 120 frames per second video frame rates.
Although Xperia 1 III is a better device, it is more expensive than the Galaxy Note 20, and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as Galaxy Note 20. If you want to save some dollars, you can buy Galaxy Note 20, and give up a few features and specifications, but you will get the most with your money.
