Comparison review
The Xperia 1 III has a general score of 93.3, which is much better than the Galaxy XCover Pro's global score of 81. Both of these phones come with the same Android 11 OS. Xperia 1 III's construction is newer, somewhat thinner and somewhat lighter than the Galaxy XCover Pro. Xperia 1 III features a much better screen than Galaxy XCover Pro, because it has a little bit bigger display, a lot more pixels per display inch and a way higher resolution of 1644 x 3840px.
Sony Xperia 1 III has a much greater storage to install games and applications than Galaxy XCover Pro, because it has a SD memory card expansion slot that holds up to 1 TB and more internal memory. Sony Xperia 1 III has a bit faster processing unit than Samsung Galaxy XCover Pro, and although they both have 8 processing cores, the Sony Xperia 1 III also has 8 GB more RAM memory.
Xperia 1 III counts with a bit longer battery lifetime than Galaxy XCover Pro, because it has a 4500mAh battery size against 4050mAh. Xperia 1 III shoots much clearer photos and videos than Samsung Galaxy XCover Pro, because although it has a back-facing camera with a lot lower 12 megapixels resolution, and they both have a same size camera aperture, the Xperia 1 III also counts with a much higher 3840x2160 (4K) video quality and a way larger sensor providing a lot better image quality.
Although Sony Xperia 1 III is a better device, it costs a lot more than the Galaxy XCover Pro, and it doesn't have such a good relation between it's price and quality as the Galaxy XCover Pro. So if you want that extra features and specs, you can buy the Sony Xperia 1 III, but if you don't you can save some dollars and buy the Galaxy XCover Pro, resigning a couple specs and features.
