Comparison review
Xperia 1 III has an overall score of 93.3, which is just a bit better than the Galaxy Z Flip 5G's score of 92.3. Xperia 1 III's construction is newer, but a little heavier and somewhat thicker than Galaxy Z Flip 5G. Both devices we compare here come with the same Android 11 OS (Operating System), so you shouldn't perceive any differences regarding operating system features.
Sony Xperia 1 III has a much better looking screen than Galaxy Z Flip 5G, because although it has a bit smaller screen, it also counts with a lot higher 1644 x 3840 resolution and a lot higher display density. Xperia 1 III has longer battery lifetime than Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 5G, because it has a 4500mAh battery size against 3300mAh. Xperia 1 III counts with a bit better camera than Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 5G, and although they both have a same resolution camera and the same video quality, the Xperia 1 III also has better 120 frames per second video frame rate, a larger camera aperture and a way larger sensor which offers a way better photo and video quality.
Although Xperia 1 III is a better device, it costs a lot more than Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 5G, and it doesn't have such a good relation between it's price and quality as Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 5G. If you are trying to save a few dollars, you can buy Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 5G, and give up some specs and features, but you will get the most with your money.
